Fever and Fried Chicken

Fever and Fried Chicken

A former co-worker of mine was expressing her concern of how her daughter "must have caught what was going around." She was telling me how she was stuffed up, coughing, and now had a high fever and was unsure what to do.

It was not that I did not care but I simply said "so let it go - her body is doing what it is suppose to do." She was very concerned with the fever, she didn't want it to get to high. Why do we today believe that fevers are bad? Fever is the body's natural way to burn off infections. Not every person on this earth all have the same body temperature. Temperatures can range from 98.6 to 100 and those are normal.

Parents today get so nervous when their child gets a fever that the first thing they do is rush to the doctor or the local pharmacy and get over-the-counter medication or antibiotics. Medicines such as these will falsely reduce the temperature for a period of time which will make the child feel better only to have it come back higher.

Our son had a 106 degree temperature for close to a week that spiked at night and lowered during the day and was I scared. I simply held my faith and kept having him adjusted by our chiropractor.  He finally broke out with spots and it turned out to be Roseola. We knew from educating ourselves (instead of listening to every scare tactic) that he would be fine. We knew that his nervous system must be working at 100% in order for him to heal, and he did. He did not suffer from any side effects, have  brain damage, or any other ailment they claim is possible.

So think of this, why is it stressed over and over again that we cannot eat under cooked chicken. Chicken must be fully cooked in order to burn off the bacteria and germs. That is exactly what our body does - it is cooking off the bacteria and the germs. As soon as the bacteria and germs have been killed, the body naturally will turn down the heat and will break into a sweat to cool itself down.

It is not fun and it is difficult to see our children sick but the body is amazing. The body truly knows what to do on its own. We have faith in everything today, why not have faith in our body.

Mystery

Whence life comes or where it goes is perhaps the greatest mystery of all times. All we know is the way in which it is expressed.
Chiropractic is the modern health science, founded on an accurate knowledge of how life is expressed and why dis-ease exists. This health science points to it's record of getting sick people well as its best recommendation.

Another Ear Infection? Seriously.

I just don't get it! Why do we have to always chase a symptom and then give it a drug that we know will not help. Ear infections should be left alone. Sure they hurt like crazy, are uncomfortable, cause fever and are scary - let the infection run its course. An ear infection is the body's reaction to germs or a virus moving into the ear. The body naturally fights off these germs by increasing its temperature through fever and sending white blood cells to fight it - this is the pus we see.

At some point, parents have got to say "enough is enough." That is exactly what my husband and I did. Our daughter was forever in the pediatrician's office with an ear infection. We did everything we were told. We even gave her antibiotics (even crushing the pill form because she did not know how to swallow a pill). We finally sought out Chiropractic care. Her overall health improved dramatically and NO more ear infections. So, when our son started showing signs of an ear infection, we increased his visits to the Chiropractor an let it run its course.

How does a parent just sit there and watch their child suffer in pain? It was tough. Within a day or so of his symptoms appearing, his white blood cells were producing enough pus that the fluid "popped" out of the ear and the pain was gone. We kept his ear clean and had him rest in addition to regular Chiropractic care and he was and is perfectly fine. That was his first and last ear infection and NO tubes. He is know 19 years old.

Frustrated with my child being sick so much

I ran into a friend and her son in West Cobb  (The Avenues) the other day and we began chatting about the weather and the pollen.  She was telling me how she was in the pediatrician office yet again for his allergies and the medication is he on again. I am sorry but something is not right. Yes the pollen is bad but why if you truly think about it, I mean truly think about it, why does he have allergies and another child does not.

I spent the first 2 1/2 years of my daughter's life in the pediatrician's office with one ailment after another. Ear infections were the favorite. Finally after my husband getting furious at the doctor for giving us a pill versus a liquid medication (he literally had to crush the pill into a powder to hide in the food), we both said something has got to change. We had done everything right how could she be sick so much.

We decided to try chiropractic. We immediately saw a change in our daughter. No more health problems. We survived the public school years with no challenges. Yes she would get a cold just like everyone but her body was able to handle it within a day or two. If she missed school, it was because we chose to miss not because she was ill. I never worried about the germs and who had what. Her body was now able to fight off anything coming at her because her immune system was stronger. She no longer needed to see the pediatrician or needed medication. YES I said it no pediatrician visits no medications. That is prescribed or over-the-counter. Because of her health, we have raised all five kids with chiropractic.

YES five children under only chiropractic care. WOW. Chiropractic care is my families health care.

Courage.

It takes courage to recognize the merit in a new discovery. The world is so apt to say it can't be done.
Chiropractic was at first supported by only a few courageous people who saw the merit in it's principles, and today the masses are following in the footsteps of these men and woman of former days who had the courage to look a new idea squarely in the face and accept it.
Start getting well today.

Why do we focus on one area of your spine?

Why do we focus on one area of your spine?
Let's use an analogy to explain this. If you were to chop a tree down would you just whack at it from the top to the bottom; or would you focus on just one area and keep chopping? Both processes will take time repetition and effort but one will be more effective and have a better result.
By clearing the upper cervical area of your spine where the brainstem is housed you are allowing the maximum expression of life through matter and for you to live your life to it's fullest potential.
